The current global situation has created unique challenges for hotels and destinations looking to provide exceptional levels of service and a perfect holiday experience while ensuring the safety of their guests. At Coral Reef Club, we pride ourselves on our guest experience and levels of comfort and are dedicated to maintaining the high quality and levels of service that we are known for during this unprecedented period.

The safety and well-being of our guests is paramount, and in order to guarantee the perfect holiday experience, we are implementing a set of new hygienic protocols at both Coral Reef Club and The Sandpiper. It is our intention that these new protocols will give confidence to our guests and allow them to enjoy the exquisite surroundings of our hotels in comfort and style.

The warm welcome guests receive is a big part of our stellar customer service, and we intend to maintain this tradition. Guests will be greeted and welcomed by our team with smiles rather than handshakes and given sufficient personal space to allow them to feel safe. All guest bags will be carefully sanitized on arrival and delivered quickly to guest rooms. Bags will only be handled by one Bellman.

Once our guests have settled in, our Housekeeper will offer a choice of time slots for room cleaning, so this can happen while our guests are out of the rooms enjoying their day.

Our open-air bars and restaurants will remain open, offering guests the exceptional fine dining experiences that mark The Coral Reef experience. Our servers and hosts will provide all guests with sanitized menus, and we have adjusted our seating to ensure safe personal space for all diners. New protocols limit touchpoints, and the chefs and entire kitchen brigade have introduced enhanced cleaning, sanitizing, and protection protocols for crockery, cutlery and kitchen service.

Masks, gloves, and sanitizers have been implemented as mandatory for our staff where social distancing is not possible and team members are temperature-checked when they get to work and monitored closely throughout the day.
The personal hygiene of everyone on site is always one of our highest priorities, and this is doubly important at this time.

It is worth mentioning that enhanced health and safety protocols will also be in effect on arrival to Barbados. Before arriving at our hotels, all travelers will be questioned and checked by airport personnel, and we will be required to ask our guests to report any signs of illness or COVID-19 symptoms to us immediately. We have procedures in place to enlist the local authorities for medical treatment and necessary quarantine. The local health authorities have a highly trained, caring personnel who are fully equipped to give the best medical care at a newly renovated facility that is specially equipped to deal with COVID-19 patients, without charge. There will also be specific procedures for travel to and from the airport and to attractions, restaurants and bars.
